Future Box is the temporary multimedia installation set in the frame of Piazza Maggiore, through which the Marchesini Group aimed to honour its city, Bologna, celebrating its first 50 years of activity. The company Stark, in collaboration with the management team, designed unique interactive experiences to guide visitors in exploring and discovering possible future scenarios. Visitors were invited to answer individual quizzes via the innovative Stark Mirror LED walls: interactive mirrors that allowed responses to be selected with just a hand movement. At the end of the quiz, an interactive silhouette was generated with colours corresponding to the type of answers given, alongside the visitor’s reflection. The exploration of the future continued with an invitation to participate in a team game at the “table of tomorrow”, where 3D images were materialized through holographic effects, stimulating creativity and collaboration among users to build the city of the future. In the final installation, visitors could immerse themselves in possible future scenarios, created by artificial intelligence based on the responses and choices made by participants at previous stations.
